Dr. Daniel Guerrero\, MSLE\, Ed.D.\n\n\n\nABOUT: Daniel Gurrero\, a native of San Marcos\, holds multiple certificates from Austin Community College\, a Bachelor of Mass Communications from Texas State University\, a Master of Organizational Leadership and Ethics\, and a Doctor of Leadership and Higher Education from St. Edward's University. He received the St. Edward's University Presidential Award in April 2023.\n\n \n\nDaniel has held leadership positions in nonprofit organizations\, including Executive Director for INROADS/Central Texas\, Inc.\, and has led fundraising campaigns for the San Marcos Education Foundation. He also served as Assistant Dean of Students for Student Development and Leadership Programs at Texas State University\, where he taught Global Business and Leadership.\n\n \n\nDaniel is currently an adjunct professor at Concordia University\, teaching in the MBA program and serving as the MBA Program Chair and Business Advisory Board Chair. He is also a senior business development consultant for J.L. Powers & Associates\, facilitating relationships between clients\, government agencies\, and community leaders.\n\n \n\nPreviously\, Daniel served as the mayor of San Marcos for six years and is currently appointed to the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. He is trained as a family law mediator and Court Appointed Special Advocate and has been involved with various organizations\, including the San Marcos Family Justice Center and Karana Rising\, nonprofit supporting victims of human trafficking.\n\n \n\nIn addition to his professional accomplishments\, Daniel is a 41-year cancer survivor\, a passionate traveler\, a Blue October fanatic\, a certified NAUI scuba diver\, and enjoys spending time with his rescued pets.
