HUTTO, November 21, 2025 – The City of Hutto held a ribbon cutting ceremony today to celebrate a significant step forward in the city’s growth and economic development. The newly completed Spine Road, now named Krueger Boulevard, is a key infrastructure project that will help unlock the full potential of Hutto’s 1,400-acre Megasite. The road will support new development, attract businesses, create jobs, and contribute to a more diverse and sustainable tax base.
This project would not have been possible without the contributions of the Krueger family, who farmed the land for generations. Their decision to sell a portion of their property to the City of Hutto reflects a deep commitment to the community’s future. In honor of their legacy, the road was officially named Krueger Boulevard during the ceremony.
“Today’s dedication of Krueger Boulevard honors a family whose generations of stewardship helped shape this community,” said Cheney Gamboa, Director of Economic Development. “This new roadway not only supports Hutto’s growing future, it also stands as a lasting tribute to the Krueger family’s legacy on this land.”
The City of Hutto and the Hutto Economic Development Corporation partnered on the project. Their shared goal is to transform the Megasite into a thriving economic hub that will benefit residents and businesses for decades to come.
